The team consists of a medical physicist, clinical oncologist, oncology surgeon, neurosurgeon, interventional radiologist, working in conjunction with other disciplines. It is common practice for CyberKnife radiosurgical treatment to be planned and prescribed by a pair of physicians made up of a surgeon ( neurosurgeon or oncology surgeon ) and a clinical oncologist. |
| Plan-verification, quality assurance and radiation delivery are the responsibilities of the physicist. The interventional radiologist assists in implantation of fiducials (markers) when these are required. |
