Invented at Standford University, CyberKnife is a radiosurgery machine which can deliver radiation to tumor from up to 1,200 different angles.
Its extreme accuracy allows it to deliver a very high dose of radiation to the pre-determined target throughout the body. The dose is so intense that it can cause destruction of tumor similar to an excision with a surgical knife and that is why it is called “radiosurgery”.
