This Fund was established to assist the approximately 800,000 children in Mainland China who suffer from deafness. There have been recent advances in deafness rehabilitation.

The Cochlear Implant, an electronic device that is surgically implanted into the inner ear, is able to restore most of the hearing loss to children who are born deaf.

The Children's Hearing Fund will evaluate children, provide the cochlear implant surgery, and the speech therapy that is necessary after the operation.

Every year, the Fund helps to restore the gift of sound to around 20 children.
