Hong Kong Adventist Hospital has invested 13 million dollars to upgrade facilities in their Heart Center, providing the most advanced imaging system, Cardiac Catheterization & Coronary Angiography, Stenting, Implantation of a Permanent Pacemaker/ Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator, and Radiofrequency Ablation etc. With the increasing demand of patients from heart disease, the hospital will keep providing comprehensive services in order to cope with the problem |

| Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation "Caring for Children Day" |

Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation organized the "Caring for Children Day at the Open Piazza II of Times Square in Causeway Bay. The theme of this event was to promote awareness of congenital diseases (in particular congenital heart disease and profound hearing loss) in children to the general public. The children's choir from the Adventist Church shared hymns to mark the opening of the event. There was a cheque presentation ceremony as Ho Man Fat Memorial Foundation donated HK$300,000 to Children's Heart Fund while Dr. Li Dak Sum donated HK$240,000 to Children's Hearing Fund. Ms. Kelly Chen, the Foundation Ambassador, interviewed some of the parents of the benefitted children to understand their condition and also exercised with them together with HKAH's Exercise Physiologist. Physicians of Children's Heart Fund & Children's Hearing Fund and Chairperson of Children's Hearing Fund were there too. The event captured a lot of pedestrians' attention and gained wide media coverage. |

The fair is open to industry professionals and the general public. And 12 private hospitals have joined together to form a Virtual Operating Theatre, a fascinating educational display area to showcase the procedure and facilities of operations. Meanwhile, the public forum and health talks organized by hospitals allow both professionals and the public to update themselves on the latest developments. |

| Charitable Vegetarian Cooking Competition |

In order to raise funds for Children’s Heart Fund and promote the benefits of vegetarian diet to heart health, Hong Kong Adventist Hospital and Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation are co-organizing “Charitable Vegetarian Cooking Competition”. The event showcases lawyers and senior executives across different industries, donned in aprons and chef hats, chopping, sauteeing and kneading to prepare for their award-winning dish! .
Local celebrities, Mr. Michael Hui, Ms. Fiona Yuen and Ms. Sharon Kwok together with the Executive Sous Chef of the Kowloon Shangri-La and the Dietitian of Hong Kong Adventist Hospital formed the judging panel of the competition. Ms. Sharon Kwok has demonstrated how to make a healthy and delicious Thai style vegetarian salad. During the event, the celebrities have engaged themselves in fun-filled T-shirt painting with a group of children who have benefitted from the Children’s Heart Fund.
Finally, one of the team from Baker & McKenzie has won the champion, while another team has got the first runner-up with Lan Kwai Fong Holdings Ltd.
