Fibroids are non-cancerous growths from the muscular
wall of the uterus (the womb). Studies have shown that
one out of four women have fibroids. The causes are
still not well understood.
Symptoms:
Heavy, prolonged menstrual periods
and irregular bleeding
Pelvic pain and pressure sensation
Back pain
Urinary frequency
Constipation
Abdominal bloating
If you have the symptoms mentioned before, you should
check with your gynecologists. Silent fibroids can
be discovered during a routine check-up ad confirmed
by an ultrasound examination or MRI.
