Hemodialysis Center

Hemodialysis Center

Established in 1999, the Hemodialysis Center provides quality hemodialysis treatment to both local and overseas patients suffering from kidney disease.

The Hemodialysis Center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including online clearance monitoring (OCM) andonline hemodiafiltration (HDF).

  • OCM, one of the main features of the Fresenius Medical Care Therapy System 5008, allows medical staff to determine the effectiveness of hemodialysis treatment by providing automatic intradialytic measurement of the delivered dialysis dose (Kt/V), invivo urea clearance, and plasma sodium concentration.
  • HDF is one of the most effective dialysis modalities as the substitution fluid is produced by the dialysis machine. By combining diffusive and convective clearance, HDF eliminates more middle-sized molecules than standard hemodialysis.

 Therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE)

  • When targeted large plasma molecules cannot be eliminated by conventional hemodialysis-type therapies, TPE may serve as an effective alternative. The PRISMAFLEX system performs plasma exchange by removing and pumping theplasma through the large-pore membrane of the plasma filter, and infusing a replacement solution to replace the removed plasma.

Hemodialysis Center Facilities

Hemodialysis Center Facilities
  • Advanced dialysis equipment: the Fresenius Medical Care 5008 machine provides effective dialysis treatment and simultaneously monitors dialysis dose, blood volume, and blood temperature
  • Reverse osmosis water treatment system: the AquaA reverse osmosis (RO) system provides ultrapure water required for dialysis treatment
  • Body composition monitor: the Fresenius Body Composition Monitor provides information about an individual’s fluid and nutritional status in less than two minutes
  • Beds: patients may choose to receive dialysis treatment comfortably in either a reclined or supine position
  • Individual televisions
  • Free Wi-Fi
