ABO Blood Grouping & RH Factor

Blood typing is determined by the molecules on the surface of the red blood cells. The Rh factor is an inherited protein that can be found on the surface of the red blood cell. The Rh type is either positive or negative. Rh incompatibility can cause problems during pregnancy and childbirth.

 

Complete Blood Count (MCV)

MCV measures the average size of your red blood cells. This test is used to diagnose different types of anemia, including thalassemia trait.

 

VDRL (Syphilis)

VDRL is a blood test used to detect syphilis infection. Syphilis is mainly transmitted through sexual contact, but can also be transmitted from mother to baby during pregnancy and birth.

 

HIV 1 and 2 Antibody

HIV antibody test detects the presence of HIV antibodies in the blood. Early diagnosis of HIV infection enables infected persons to obtain the medical care and medications needed to improve their health and prevent further HIV transmissions.

 

Hepatitis B Screening (Antibody & Antigen)

Hepatitis B is a liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus. Screening for hepatitis B helps to diagnose the infection and prevent its transmission. Vaccination is also available for those who are not infected.

 

Rubella Antibody - IgG (Female Only)

Rubella is a contagious viral infection that can cause serious birth defects in unborn babies. Women should make sure they are protected from rubella before they get pregnant. Vaccination can effectively prevent rubella infection.

 

Seminal Analysis (Male Only)

Semen analysis assesses male fertility through examination of sperm count, morphology and motility, semen volume and acidity.

 

Urine Analysis

Urine analysis is used to detect a range of health conditions. Glucose in urine may indicate diabetes mellitus, while protein in urine may be a sign of kidney disease.
