Beyond Borders: Expanding Our Medical Services into Mainland China
Adventist Hospitals in Hong Kong (Hong Kong Adventist Hospital (HKAH) / Tsuen Wan Adventist Hospital (TWAH)) and Chiho Medical Centre (Chiho) , have joined forces to provide international standard medical services and healthcare in Shenzhen. Doctors from HKAH and TWAH will conduct clinics on a regular basis at Chiho. Appointments for medical consultation, treatment and health assessments can also be made via Chiho, as well as specialist services including surgery, oncology and cardiology.

Both Adventist Hospitals in Hong Kong have achieved full accreditation from the Trent Accreditation Board since 2000 and from the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) in 2010. HKAH is well-known for its dedication to providing premium healthcare by offering the most advanced technological equipment and medical treatments available. Its new one-stop Oncology Center will soon commence services in 2012. TWAH’s new building, scheduled for completion in 2014, will allow for expansion in specialist center and medical services, such as heart center, urology center, orthopaedics, surgical and health assessment programs.

Chiho Medical Centre is the first clinic in Shenzhen which is fully owned and run by Hong Kong registered physician. It adopts Hong Kong health services model and consists of a team of Hong Kong and local practitioners. It provides general practice, specialist practice as well as disease prevention services. The Chiho medical staff members are able to speak multiple languages, enabling them to clearly understand the medical needs of both local and expatriate patients.
