The Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic provides prompt, accurate, and comprehensive cardiac services for patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, pulmonary embolism, or other forms of acute chest pain. Through timely risk assessment, diagnosis, and/or emergency treatment, the Clinic aims to quickly determine the cause of pain and take advantage of the golden window of treatment to maximize chances of recovery.

Highlights of Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic

10-minute assessment: an electrocardiogram is performed to determine the cause of chest pain
24/7 services: our experienced medical team is on hand 24/7 to respond to all kinds of emergency medical needs
Acute chest pain pathway: depending on the needs of patients, various treatments may be initiated immediately to save time and improve treatment outcomes
Diagnosis to wire crossing time (DTWC): medical staff serving as the first point of contact for patients determine whether they are suffering from myocardial infarction (heart attack) within the first 10 minutes, thereby enabling doctors to quickly and more accurately prescribe appropriate treatment, greatly reducing the risk of heart damage and complications
Wide range of packages: prior to receiving treatment, patients are invited to choose from a diverse range of packages (with clear explanations of services and fees) according to their needs

Out-Patient Services Consultation Charges (Effective Date: 17/10/2025)

Beginning October 1, 2021, for all special clinic bookings, the Hospital will charge the patients a “facility fee” of
HK$500 per 30 minutes session for regular consultation and a HK$1,500 “facility charge – procedure” for
consultation / treatment requiring special equipment.
